Industrial Electrician IP (Self-Paced)

Preparation course for the Construction Electrician Red Seal Certification

1,200 Canadian dollars

Service Description

Industrial workplaces like oil, gas, mining, and mills often follow engineering specifications instead of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), which can cause confusion for electricians preparing for Interprovincial exams. Drawing on industrial experience, this course is designed to help students recognize these challenges and succeed on their exams. The Industrial Electrician Interprovincial Examination is broken into 6 sections called Major Work Activities. This course includes a work package for each Major Work Activity. The work packages include full-colour photographs, a summary of the information that was covered in all 4 years of technical training, plus information regarding Trade Knowledge that is applicable and testable. Every work package ends with a question bank to expand and confirm knowledge. Code lectures are available for the 19 Code Sections most frequently covered on the exam. The lectures include full-colour photographs, detailed explanations of the Rules, how they are put into practice, and sample calculations. The Code Program was developed over several years of Electrical instruction at Canadian colleges. It has 4 levels, and is designed to train students to find the correct Rule quickly, and then make a thoughtful, accurate decision. The program includes approximately 500 questions that are scaled to teach and challenge students as they progress. The student purchases all of the course materials and works at their own pace. They have access to the instructor via email.
